O’Neill, Elsie Marie (Shaw) formerly of Dawn Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia at the age of 90. Elsie’s well lived life was full of giving; including her time spent teaching many generations of children, living and working on the farm, her church & community and especially nourishing her whole family. She was born in Chatham Twp., daughter of the late Harold & Eliza (Wilson) Shaw. Beloved wife of the late Wm. Otto O’Neill (1998). Loving mother of Larry & Maureen O’Neill of Petrolia; Peggy & Jim Parker of Petrolia; Joyce O’Neill & Jim Drinnan of Okotoks, Alberta; Maureen & Jim Forbes of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Chantelle (Terry) Sanderson, Jeff (Marcy) O’Neill, Christopher, Ryan (Erin) & Matthew Godfrey; Byran & Annie Drinnan; Kevin, Brent & Erica Forbes. Special great-grandmother of Jenna, Jadyn, Jovanna Sanderson; Ana & Alia O’Neill. Dear sister of Janet Clyde of Chatham and sister-in-law Dorothy Shaw of Chatham. Predeceased by a great-grandson Joshua Sanderson, a brother Ken Shaw and brother-in-law John Clyde. The O’Neill family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate Elsie’s life will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Sanderson officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Cerebral Palsy Association, Canadian Foodgrains Program or Lambton Meadowview Auxiliary.
