We were sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was always a kind and gentle lady. She was a dear friend to my mom and dad and they enjoyed many happy times together. To Brian, Bruce, Murray and the extended MacTavish family, our deepest condolences and sorrow for your loss. It was such an honour and a pleasure to know your Mom and your Dad through the pharmacy, as residents of Dresden and as Sydenham Street neighbours. Joyce was a very kind, gentle and considerate person and a great life partner to Alex. She will be missed by so many and most of all by her wonderful family. My most sincere condolences to the MacTavish family. I was very lucky to know Joyce through St. Andrews which my grandfather attended, through working at the Pharmacy (though she had long since retired when I started), and through running into each other at the library. Joyce was so so thoughtful and considerate, always stopping me to ask how I was and what I was currently up to. I am very thankful to have known her and have gotten to share in her amazing personality.
