Sorry Wendy and family. I'm just reading this now, as I heard Carolyn Gentes passed away less than our hour after Judy and Morley visited her in hospital. So I checked McKinlay FH, now Badders. I was lucky when I found out at the Cancer Clinic, that I'm now clear.

I remember when Wendy brought Ray to Windsor to meet our friend Cynde and myself. They had been dating only a little while but she really liked him. We agreed to give Raymond the integration before the blessing being the jokers that we were. I’ll never forget Raymond coming in wearing his raccoon hat! Of course after a few minutes we could see that he really cared for her . In the end we said “we only have one question for you? Are your intentions honourable?” He said yes while turning pink in the cheeks. Theirs was a true love. We’ll miss him but know he will always be in her heart. God keep and bless you Wendy. Love Laurie and Cynde.

We are so thankful that we knew Ray and Wendy, and the Jackson family. We were honoured to be their neighbours. He was always helpful with practical things regarding nature. He sure knew how to get rid of outside pests! (smile) Be encouraged and know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Know that Ray is shouting and singing with the angels and many that have passed on before him. His journey is one that all of us must make some day. Keep him and the LORD in your thoughts and prayers. We love you and will pray that comforting messages come to you from the Lord.

Wendy: I am so thankful that you and Raymond had so many happy years together. Your thoughts will be filled with those memories for the rest of your life. When we visited the funeral home I loved seeing all his hats and the furry creatures that he loved. You and your family are a wonderful tribute to his life.

It has been an honour and pleasure to have known Ray for 35 years. Our dicussions over the fence were always interesting and informative. He could always tell us what type of critter could be roaming around our yards. He loved mother nature. He was always willing to give a hand when needed. We will miss him greatly. Our condolences to Wendy, Bruce and family.

My thoughts are with your family at this time. Raymond along with Keith Bresett and Lorne Smith shingled our house. In order to get the shingles to the roof, an elevator was put at the side of the house to transport them up to the guys so they did not have to come down. At the time, the group on the roof were between the age of 65 and 70. They did great work! Their craftsmanship lasted 20 years.

Bruce and Wendy, it has been a blessing to have known Ray these last number of years. I recall when I was filling in at North Dresden Baptist Church some years back for 5 months that of the faithful few who were attending at that time, Ray and Wendy were two of them. Ray was always warm and friendly. Wendy's singing always blessed me, and in particular, the song, "Three Wooden Crosses."

-I got to know Ray through his wife, Wendy. One of my favorite stories occurred while the Jacksons were visiting me in Indiana. Ray looked out the window and commented that there were Canadian geese eating corn in the field. I replied, "Those aren't Canadian geese. They've never left Indiana."
-He's the only person I've ever known that had to wear a cast on his arm to his own wedding.
-Ray enjoyed life to the fullest. His laugh was infectious. I'm sure Ray is having a wonderful time in heaven above.
