Blandford: Phyllis (Smith), formerly of Dresden, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the age of 93. Born in Bosanquet Twp., daughter of the late George and Ada (Frayne) Smith. Phyllis was a member and elder of the Knox Presbyterian Church, Thedford, the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Dresden and the Heather Club, a 60 year member and honourary president since 2009 of the Catherine McVean Chapter IODE, Dresden, Dresden Police Commission, volunteered for CNIB and Cancer Society, and was very active in the Dresden community.  Beloved wife of the late George W. Blandford (2006). Cherished mother of Nancy Blandford-McFadden (Al), David Blandford (Lori). Beloved grandmother of Carson McFadden, Kyle and Jordan Blandford. Dear sister of Jean Thomson. Predeceased by her brothers Lyle, Irwin, Harvey, David, Hector Smith and sisters Doris Waite, Joyce King, Elva MacDonald, and Olive Glenn. The Blandford family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 12:30 PM until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 PM. Cremation has taken place, a private family interment will be held at a later date in Woodland Cemetery, London.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dresden, Knox Presbyterian Church, Thedford, or the Sarnia and District SPCA (Sarnia Humane Society) would be appreciated.
