I'll never forget meeting George, Marilyn and Ray in 2012. My sister and I came from Michigan to meet our Adkin second cousins once removed. I'm sorry for your loss. George was a wonderful man.

We always saw your Mom & Dad at Burn's Restaurant....they were the dearest
couple.....they really did not know us except to see us at Burn's the last few years...but they always spoke and both had the biggest smile as if they had known
us for years....they were quaint, one of the last truly pure "old folks"....God Bless, He truly took them both to Heaven were they belong....

Our sympathy to the friends and family on the loss of this dear man. He and his sweet wife were so friendly to us when we once attended a service at Wabash United and always greeted us warmly whenever we met. And now...a happy reunion for them.

I am so very sorry to learn of George's passing, and sad beyond words to think of the huge loss your family has sustained this year. George and Marilyn were such important parts of the Dawn Mills community when I was growing up, and ever since
.
George shared so many great stories with me when I interviewed him and Marilyn in 2012. I am so sorry they won't get to see them in print (though George might be relieved). We all had a great time laughing together.

My sincere condolences to your family. Although it’s been many years since I’ve seen Mr. Adkin I remember him as being very kind and quiet and he always had a smile to greet you. I know how you will miss him.
