Smith: Irene, a resident of Bothwell, passed away peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Aldborough Twp., daughter of the late John and Mary (Gauthier) Tunks. Irene owned and operated her own restaurant on the main street in Bothwell for 46 years. Best friend of Arlo Smith. Loving mother of David Smith (Lynda) of Cottam, James Smith (Marie) of Bothwell, Phyllis Reid (Steve) of Kingston. Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joseph Tunks of Chatham and Margaret Pfaff of Blenheim. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.Predeceased by a daughter Kathryn (1998); and brothers Ernest and Sam. The Smith family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Thursday from 1pm – 9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11am with Rev. Steve Filyer officiating. Interment Bothwell Cemetery.
