McEwan, Janet Ileen a resident of Bothwell passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the LHSC, Victoria Campus at the age of 66 after a courageous year long battle with lymphoma. She was born in Leamington daughter of Jake and Elsie (Schilbe) Reder of Goderich. Beloved wife of Murray McEwan; loving mother of Kimberlee “Kim” Meloche (Chris) of Wallaceburg and Kevin McEwan (Karen) of Frankfurt, Germany; special grandmother of Chris Jr. (Heather) of Wallaceburg, Alison and Nicole of Frankurt, Germany; dear sister and sister-in law of Sharon Chuter (Eric) of Varna, Ron Reder (Pat) of Bayfield and Darlene Wild (Joe) of Bayfield; fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. She is predeceased by a brother Cameron Reder (1982). Janet and husband Murray were co-publishers of the Bothwell Times until 1985 and currently own Old Autos Newspaper and Quad Printing. The McEwan family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm Street, Bothwell on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Annalee Kerr officiating. Cremation with interment at a later date. Janet’s family also expresses sincere thanks to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff on C-7, LHSC – Victoria Campus for their tremendous efforts, care and kindness. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society, Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Newbury or LHSC- Victoria Campus.
