Obituary of Joyce Carolyn Harris

Harris; Joyce Carolyn (Van Dyke) a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the age of 86. Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Cyrus Lanson and Gladys Irene Van Dyke (Parker). Cherished and loving wife of the late Whittney Harris Sr. (2016). Loving mother to Whittney Harris Jr. of Dresden, Kevin (Janice) Harris of Nanaimo, B.C., Lisa Harris of Chatham. Grandmother to Nathan (Jemmie) Harris, Barbara Harris, Leon (Shayna) Harris all of B.C. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Helen (Ken) Johnson, Anna (Robert) Sims, Imogene (Ian) Shreve, Lanson (Annette) Van Dyke, Esther (Garrie) Nolan, Jacqueline Van Dyke. 

At Joyce's request, cremation has taken place. The Harris Family will receive friends and relatives at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment of ashes will follow at Dresden Cemetery. Those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider by cheque the Chatham-Kent Hospice or Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses JW.org.
