Dear Family of Shirley,
I worked with Shirley for several years at Commercial Union in Windsor. Shirley was very serious about her job and a good adjuster, but, after getting to know her, beneath that stern exterior was a warm and funny, caring lady. My dear friend Debbie worked there two and we had lots of good times over the years with Shirley. Sadly, Debbie died of cancer at the young age of 48.After Shirley had moved back to London I got married (31years ago) and I was very touched that Shirley made the trip to come to our wedding.
I did visit Shirley in London after her first bout with cancer. We had some phone visits and a few cards back and forth.. We moved to Cambridge, Kitchener, Port Dover and now we are in Kingsville. Sadly, we lost touch over the past years with all of our life changes and moves.But thinking of Shirley will always bring a warm smile to my heart! Shirley always looked forward to visits to Bothwell.. She spoke fondly of her nieces and nephews and always treasured time spent with her family.
