To Dianne and Chris and the rest of the family, we send our deepest condolences. We're thinking of you during this difficult time, made harder by the need for physical distance from the comfort of our loved ones and community. Our prayers are with you.
Dianne and Chris: At this time, we're remembering the support we received from you and the community during our recent time of loss. It was a comfort. I hope you are finding comfort in community -- even at a distance.

My condolences to the Beecroft family, I have very fond memories of your dad. He was a very kind gentle soul. I spent many a day playing at his house with Joy and I can never remember him raising his voice or getting angry. He always had great questions and taught many things about nature. Last spring he decided to take his riding lawn mower for a tour in the fields and he ended up getting stuck. Dad and I had to pull him out with the 4 wheelers. We had a good chuckle about that...it was great to spend time with him again. Losing a parent is very difficult. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Barb (bos) Hardy.

It was always a special treat to talk with My Uncle Jim on the phone. He was my Uncle but he was more like a friend I neither saw nor talked with enough. He spotted my voice instantly whenever we chatted and he was one of those people who make others feel better just by saying hello. Like the rest of his family he carried a grace and elegance within him. He was warm and always totally interested in me and whatever I had to share with him in conversation. I remember him when he was a teen and my Brother Theren and I were boys visiting our Grandparents out at the farm north of Highgate. He was using a hoe and pulled it into his ankle. It bled a lot but he was stoic about that being the farm boy he was and that stuck with me, - his self control in a situation that I as a six year old thought was high drama. He held that control throughout his life from what I ever saw. That seemed to be something inherent in the Beecroft brothers, - all gone now. I will miss my chats with Jim. I am thinking about his kids and how sadly they will be missing him but know that they had one of the best Dads a family could ever have. Doesn't make it a whole lot easier but come the warm weather you will feel him on the warm breezes which is where I think the people we love go in the end...
You will feel the sun on your faces and remember all the sunny days you shared with your Mom and Dad! David Beecroft

My first childhood hero. I toddled after my Uncle Jim around Grampa’s farm. He was the boy I wanted to be, an outdoorsman and he always had time for me. The last of his generation. Rest well, Jim.
