Obituary of Walter Clair Babcock

Walter Clair Babcock, a resident of Dresden, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 88. Born in Wallaceburg, the son of the late Harry and Cora (Shaw) Babcock. Walter was the founder of Babcock Jewellers in 1953 and was President of the Dresden Business Association for many years. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Shaw) Babcock. Loving father of Wendy Babcock & Christopher Reil, Jennifer & Dave Johnson and Brent & Virginia Babcock. Proud grandfather of Robert & Krista, Joshua, Ashlee, Colin, Alisha, Daniel, Samuel and Haley. Dear brother of the late Alma Champion (late Elwood), the late Lloyd Babcock. Sadly missed by sister-in-law Jean Babcock. Due to COVID-19 a private funeral service will be held at Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden with interment in Dresden Cemetery. A celebration of life will be arranged post COVID-19.
