Denise Stonefish posted a condolence

I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has texted or sent Facebook messages or left a message or lit a candle following the loss of our father, Lawrence Stonefish. Everyone who knew Dad has amazing memories of their conversations, the laughter they shared, his smile and of course, his eyes. Dad grew up with his kids, from skating in fields to camping to the stories he shared. He was always there when we needed support. I am positive that everyone will miss Dad, as much as his kids. Mom and Dad are dancing together again, this time amongst the clouds across the blue sky. Thank you for your condolences and support during this difficult time.

Sending condolences on the passing of your father. To my dear friend Denise I know you must be thinking that your parents are reunited in eternity and can take some comfort in that, even though you will still miss him dearly. Lawrence could be such a card, I couldn't always tell if he was teasing or being serious. Like a couple of summers ago at powwow time when I went to use his kitchen to heat up my big pot of cornsoup. Him and Charlie each thought the other one knew who I was. Heck that was funny, then he hops in my car and off we go back to the powwow together. Wow it will be different without him, it'll be okay... it will just be different. Love to all and heres my virtual (((HUG))) until I can give it in person..

May I extend my deepest condolences for the loss of your father, such a huge loss to so many that called him grandpa! No matter what age you are, it is still a great loss, one of the main people in your life! Your father left behind such a wonderful legacy of completions, a daughter the first female Chief in Moraviantown and so many accomplished family members, he was so proud of. May your memories bring you comfort at this difficult time and please hold tight to each other, as he would have wanted. I had the privilege and honour to sit with your father many times and have some deep conversations. He was instrumental in my own personal healing, when my parents split up I was quite young and there were many unanswered questions. Your father was the person who filled in many of the missing pieces and allowed the healing to begin. Your father believed in the community and had an old-fashioned belief in people and a genuine desire to support people toward success. I will always remember your dad for that healing part he played in my life. Take good care of each other, sending you love and healing energies, Audrey

My thoughts go out to his family. I will miss him very much as every year I liked bringing him Christmas cookies or some corn soup and spending a few minutes with him. His smile could light up a room and he had that kind of feeling that you liked spending time with him. He was like a 2nd grandfather to everyone and without a doubt an amazing man. The Timothy family would like to express their condolences and feelings for the family.

I’m so sorry four your families loss. My heart goes out to you all. It was with great pleasure to be able to look after your father for these past 4 years. There wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t share many stories of his past, present or future with lots of laughs and head shakes. Your dad made it very easy to be around and made me feel welcome He will be planting a big garden in heaven and going fishing. Saying Holler if you got one !!!I’m almost positive. Hugs to you all ❤️❤️❤️
