To Bonnie and all the Sloan family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Over the past many years I have had many good memories of my time with Ralph at various functions. I will remember him sitting out on nice days with his pipe in one hand and a cool drink in the other. I loved his sense of humor and soft laugh. May the many great memories give you some comfort at this time. Tim and Janet Aitken

Ralph was Station #12 Fire Chief at the time of Municipal Amalgamation in 1998. He was an early supporter of the concept of an integrated 911/Fire/Police Dispatch. A million 911 calls later his vision and leadership continues to keep everyone in Chatham-Kent safe day & night.

I will always remember Ralph's soaring voice singing "You raise me up" with the CK Singers as well as many other pieces that benefited from his wonderful tenor voice. We missed him greatly when he could no longer participate and share in the sorrow of family and friends at his passing.
My deepest sympathy to Bonnie and his children and grandchildren of whom he was so proud.

Ralph truly impacted many young people in his life. Whenever I’m asked about important markers in my faith walk, the Sunday youth class Ralph led in the sanctuary of St. Paul’s always comes to mind. He wanted us to actively grow our faith by asking challenging questions. I’ll never forget the Sunday he arranged for us to attend a RC service at St. Ursula’s because we had questions about different types of churches. He truly cared and made a difference. My condolences to the whole family.
