Ron, Linda, Carol, Donna and Michael:
The Herbert family sends our condolences in the loss of your father. Your mom and dad were a cherished part of our family. So many family events included Uncle Gerald, Aunt Alice and the cousins. So many memories of your parents at our house.
As my parents aged, your dad and mom were very generous with their time and took them to many places, including to my home in Oshawa area. His sister, Marie Jeanne always told stories about your dad and his love of driving trucks even at a young age. His days of delivering gas to the farmers in Kent County was truly the best job for him.
Mom, Dad, and your parents enjoyed many happy moments together, and now they will reunite and continue the party!
Treasure every memory of your parents. They were very special people. Hugs and love to all of you
Marie Herbert Gabriel, on behalf of John, Patrick, Anne, Janet and Rita.

Thinking today as I read these condolences, Jerry was such a respected and caring man. Both he and Alice were wonderful friends and in the early days babysat two of my children. My sympathy goes out to all the family. May beautiful memories provide peace and comfort in the coming days and may Jerry dance with the angels and rest in comfort and peace.

Deepest sympathy to the entire Mallette family. Gerry was a kind man who loved his family, friends and community. We remember seeing him helping to clear the sidewalks in uptown Thamesville with his tractor and blade whenever there was a significant snowfall. He was always there to help out. We were fortunate to have many visits with him when he was in Chatham Retirement Resort. He loved to get in his car and drive back to the Thamesville community to have coffee with friends. We pray for your peace and comfort now and in the days ahead. Cherish the memories.
