Thinking of you Lois and family. Alfie was one of my schoolmates at Fyshs’ schoolhouse. Always a gentleman, and always so friendly any time we were passing by. I will miss him now as we drive the River road. Not many of our era left.

On many Saturdays, we would have our weekly visit with Alfie.. Alfie and Doug had gone to high school together, and rode the same school bus. Every visit was a recollection of memories and catching up on friends. Alfie will be missed by the community. Rest in peace Alfie,, I will always remember his comment when asked how he was, he always said "On the right side of the green". It was the first time I had heard it, and he never failed to say it every week when we went..
