Condolences to the Hodulik family,
The loss of a mother is always heart wrenching, but to lose one like Anne is almost too much to bear. The ever present feeling of peace, calm and kindness enveloped all who came into contact with her. Like the aroma of her baking, the security of home, hearth and a safe place to land, this was her essence.
She was a cousin, friend and confidant to my older sister Mary, during the early years in Slovakia, Hunta and Alvinston. They both crossed the Atlantic and experienced the great adventure of coming to a New World! They were together again while learning a new language and culture. Together they adapted and thrived, becoming the strong women we looked up to.
We had some very enjoyable times over the past few years, recalling the events of days gone by.
Thanks for the wonderful memories and the photos you had the presence of mind to take back then and for your wise and knowing view of the world. I will miss you Annie.
Heaven has just gained a special Angel.....

Our mom and Anne were close friends, so I went back to the old family album and found a happy photo of the two of them, with mom perched on a bicycle with Anne by her side.
