In Loving Memory of Robert "Bob" Johnson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Johnson, beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. Bob passed away peacefully April 10, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will endure forever.  Bob, borne June 9, 1940, in Rodney, Ontario, was a cornerstone of love and wisdom, cherishing every moment with his family and leaving a legacy of unforgettable memories.

A passionate outdoorsman, Bob found joy in the simplicity and serenity of nature. He spent countless cherished days hunting and fishing, activities that spoke to his adventurous spirit and love for the great outdoors. He passed down his knowledge to those he loved, sharing the beauty of the wild with his children and grandchildren.

Bob was also a proud and committed member of the Masons, upholding its values of brotherhood, integrity, and service. He believed strongly in contributing to his community and lived his life as an example of loyalty, humility, and kindness.

Beloved husband for 62 years to Shirley (Wilkins) Johnson, Bob was a devoted and loving partner who exemplified strength, warmth, and kindness. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter that will always remember his unwavering dedication.

He was the proud and loving father of Kristine Johnson and Greg Johnson (Vanessa) and an adoring Papa to Austin and Wyatt Johnson. Bob's family was his greatest treasure, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and joy.

Bob will also be fondly remembered by his brother Allan Johnson (Cathy) and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Dorothy Austen (Late Les) and brothers Donald (Lynda) Johnson, Tom Johnson (Late Sharron), and Charles (Mary Ann) Johnson.

As per Bob’s wishes, a cremation has taken place, and a private funeral service will be held.  A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Saturday May 3rd at the Bothwell Legion Branch 252, 162 George St., Bothwell  from 1 pm – 5 pm.  Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider Four Counties Health Services Foundation (c/o 1824 Concession Dr., Newbury ON.
