Obituary of Decker James Beatty
We are heartbroken to share the devastating loss of Decker James Beatty, surrounded by family on Sunday July 6, 2025 at the age of 12. His greatest joy was the togetherness of his beloved family. He poured his absolute best into everything he did, and admired the same dedication from others.
Decker is the cherished son of Jamie and Michelle Beatty, who will hold a place for him as long as they live. Decker is an irreplaceable big brother to his sister Berkeley and brother Blake.
He is the grandson of proud grandparents Jeff and Jackie Beatty, as well as Cathy and the late Tim McFadden.
Decker will forever be remembered by his adored cousins Avery, Lila, Henry, Willow, and Lars, as well as his Aunt Marianne, Uncle Rob, Auntie Annie, Uncle Nick, and Uncle Josh (Beth). He will also leave a legacy of love and camaraderie amongst his closest friends and teammates, of which there are just too many to name.
The family would like to thank the following people for everything they did on the night of July 3, 2025 and the days that followed; Chatham-Kent EMS, the volunteer firefighters from Dresden’s Chatham-Kent Fire Station 6, the Chatham-Kent Police Service, specifically Kyle Merritt and Joel Rehill, ER staff at the CKHA, Ornge Air Ambulance, Ronald McDonald House in London, and the entire PCCU staff at LHSC, including nurses Paige, Lauren, Hannah, Ayasha, and their social worker Kasey. They all gave their very best to Decker and family. He would have praised their efforts. Lastly we would like to thank the Badder Funeral Home for bringing our son home.
