Obituary of Nancy Jane Richardson

Richardson: Nancy (Leeson), a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Jim and Helen (Jones) Leeson.

   On September 23, 1972 , Nancy married the love of her life , John Richardson, with whom she shared a beautiful and devoted marriage of over 50 years. Together they built a loving family and a life filled with cherished memories.

 Nancy dedicated 42 years of her career as a financial advisor with TD Canada Trust, where she was admired for her professionalism, guidance, and unwavering commitment to her clients. She will also be remembered for her love of gardening where she found peace and fulfillment among the flowers she nurtured. Nancy’s warmth and kindness, and devotion to her family and friends will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind.

She will be greatly missed by her son Davin and his wife Julie, as well as her grandchildren Zoe and Jessie who brought endless joy to her heart, Nancy has now gone to join her beloved daughter Colette in Heaven. She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law Bill (Ruth Anne), Harold (Denise), Nicole, and Grandma Co and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Ross and Frank Leeson.   

At Nancy’s request cremation will take place. A private family graveside service will be held at Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date.
