Obituary of Jack Roest

Roest: Jacobus “Jack” a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Jack retired from Siemens in Chatham, and spent many years farming the family land. In his retired years, he enjoyed woodworking and gifted his family with many precious keepsakes. He was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Dresden, and the Knights of Columbus third and fourth degree. He was born in Utrecht, Holland, and son of the late Lambertus and Bertha (VanMiltenberg) Roest. Beloved husband of Marg Roest (DeClerk). Loving father of Angela Roest (Yves Thomas), Chriss Dent (Duane), Karyn Peacock (Andrew) and Steve Roest. Proud Opa of Zoé, Magen, Makayla, Emily, Shelby, Ceirra and Audrey. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne Cammaert (Roger), Theresa Zsoldos, John Roest, Mary DeCook (Mike), Bill Roest (Bonnie), Marjorie Wathy (Ron) and Marcel DeClerk (late Marg). Son-in-law of the late Jack and Mary DeClerk. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.  Family and friends will be received at St. Michael's Church on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated December 9, 2025 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael's Church, Dresden.
