Obituary of Eileen Kneebone

Sadly Janis Hart (Mike) and Carol Loveday (Don) cousins of Eileen’s announce her passing at Riverview Garden’s, Chatham on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the age of 97. Eileen is predeceased by her parents, William and Pearl (Stocking) Kneebone and brother Donald Kneebone. Survived by many cousins and friends who loved her and were blessed by her presence. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and traveling to many countries and places of interest. She was a lifelong member of Victoria Avenue United Church and served in the choir and at church events for many years. Sometimes cousin Sandy Filsinger would assist at the crepe dinners. After Victoria Avenue United Church amalgamated, her dear friends Gayle Martin and Anne Gibson would pick her up and take her to church with them. They would go out for lunch after and sometimes have her over for dinner at their home. Her career began with Western Freight and later with the city of Chatham where she retired from. She made many friends along the way, spending her final years at Riverview Gardens, she often expressed thanks for their care and kindness. Family and friends will be received at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. Interment Bothwell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the food pantry at St. Paul`s-Victoria Avenue United Church, Box 333, Chatham N7M 5K4.
