Obituary of Sandra Devries

Sandra Devries, a resident of Dresden, entered her heavenly home on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Riverview Gardens at the age of 91. Born in Zevenhuizen, Netherlands, the daughter of the late Roelf and Aukje (Heidinga) Linker. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Devries (2025). She was an active and lifelong member of the Rutherford Women's Institute and later the Wabash Women's Institute. Sandra was presented with an honorary life membership when she was no longer able to attend meetings in person. She was a faithful member of Living Hope Free Reformed Church, and continued to participate in church life by watching the livestream of both services every Sunday till her end. Sandra was known to all for her kind and generous spirit, and was always the first to volunteer wherever help was needed, whether by family or friends, or at church or in the wider community. Loving mom of Calvin Devries and Ron Devries (Anita). Cherished oma of Maverick, Samantha and the late Amanda. Dear sister of Alice DeBoer (Oscar), Anne van de Wetering (Al) and Margaret Hoekstra (Arnold). Sadly missed by sister-in-law Fina Linker and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Clarence, Jim, John, George, Fokke, Lute, Wilbur and Rense. The Devries family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:30 PM.
