Obituary of Ken Smith

Kenneth Allan "Ken" Smith, a resident of Dresden, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg the age of 73. Born in Dresden, the son of the late Martin and Norma (Davis) Smith-Oke. Ken was an avid sports enthusiast, a coach, a trainer, an umpire and a player. Ken also loved caring for his barn cat "Boots" and the many horses he helped care for over the years. He was the beloved husband of the late Laura Lee Smith. Loving dad of Brady Smith. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sandra & Neil Marchand, Dianne & Larry DeFraeye, the late Linda & Bob Hedden and Tracy & Jason Hedden. Remembered by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Evelyn and George Smith. Missed by his nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. Private Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
