Obituary of Dave Stocking

Stocking: David J., a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side following a brief illness at Erie Shores Health Care, Leamington on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, son of the late George and Mary (Hack) Stocking. Dave farmed all his life and was dedicated steward of the land he farmed. He spent many years as a councilman for Zone Twp. He loved antique cars and especially his 1964 Chevy pick-up. But to Dave family always came first and took great pride in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved husband and best friend of Susan (Primeau) Stocking. Loving father of Tara McEachren (Donnie), Scott Stocking (Tracy). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Samantha (Cody), Travis (Brittney), Madison (Nick), Dillon (Ashley), Hunter, Adam and great-grandchildren Declan, Wyatt, and baby Stocking. The Stocking family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral, 72 Victoria, Thamesville on Thursday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Interment Bothwell Cemetery.
