Obituary of Dora Rose North

Dora Rose North (Shaw), a resident of Chatham, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham at the age of 95 . Born in Chatham, daughter of the Late Wilfred and Gladys (Craig) Shaw.  Beloved wife of the late Harold North (1997). Dora had worked for 30 years in the office for Dr. Sussex, and was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Chatham. She loved owning and racing standardbred horses and playing euchre. Loving mother of Rick North (Hilary) and Tim North (Renee). Cherished grandma of Erica (Mark), Andrea, Brianne (Jake),Taylor (Chris), Baylee, Sawyer, Victoria (Al), and Christopher. Sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Olivia, Violet, Poppy, Emily, Archie, Sydney and Shaw. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Irene Beck (John), Hester Glover (Stan), Betty Ellis (Don) and a brother Lee Shaw (Gerri).  A private family service will be held at the John C. Badder Funeral Home 72 Victoria St., Thamesville. Interment in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Florence.
