Broad Goldie Lorne a resident of RR #4 Dresden passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 82. A truck driver by trade, a farmer by heart, Goldie loved working in his gardens growing sunflowers, melons, pumpkins and vegetables.Beloved husband of Marie (Dreveny) Broad. Loving father of Mike, Dave, Ron & Wanda Broad and Linda & Dan Snow. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael Currah, Shawna Currah & Shaun Deprez, Gina, Chelsea and Taylor Broad. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Eileen Harrison, Keith & Shirley Broad, Barbara & Donald Longbottom, Darline Broad. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Gertrude Broad, grandson Kevin Broad (1979) and brother Donald Broad (1996). The Broad family will receive family and friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North Street, Dresden on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Mrs. Bonnie Harvey officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Salvation Army or Canadian Cancer Society.
