Vanderveen: Herman, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the C.K.H.A., Chatham on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the age of 80. Born in Holland, son of the late Salomons and Jantje (Kornelius) Vanderveen. Beloved husband of Barbara (Goossen) Vanderveen. Loving father of Rob Vanderveen (Janet), Andy Vanderveen (Sandra), Joanne Vanderveen all of Thamesville, Rick Vanderveen (Liane) of Chatham, Karen Beintema (Doug) of Thamesville. Loving grandpa of 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Gerard and Cecilia Vanderveen of Chatham. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Grace Shaw and brothers John and Harry Vanderveen. The Vanderveen family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday from 4pm – 9pm. The funeral service will be held from the Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, 483 McNaughton Ave. E., Chatham on Thursday June 13, 2013 at 1:30pm. Interment Mayhew-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
