Obituary of Ilene Wolfe
Wolfe: Ilene Rose (Thorpe), 83, of Ayr, ON died peacefully at home September 7th, 2010. Born and resided in Chatham for 75 years, daughter of the late Levi and Edith (Taylor) Thorpe. Ilene and late husband Fred (2001) married 57 years enjoyed many years of camping, traveling and square dancing. She recorded many happy moments with camera in hand. Employee of Sears for twenty years and a long time member of the Community of Christ Church. Loving mother of Charlotte (Bob) Buchan of Kitchener, Brenda (Paul) Rice of Comber, Ric (Mary Louise) Wolfe of Chatham and Jo-ann Hebert (Steve Nevill) of Ayr with whom she resided. Predeceased by daughter Angela in 1945. Fondly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also sister Bea Pickering, Mrytle Dawson (Jake Hunter), sisters-in-laws Pam Thorpe and Velma Wolfe. Ilene is predeceased by brothers Bill, Joe, Lorne, Jack and Walter Thorpe and sisters Mildred Wood, Nancy Wood and Betty Marsh. A Service of Remembrance to Celebrate Ilene Wolfe’s Life will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 174 Faubert Dr. Chatham on September 25, 2010 at 2:00pm. Internment at the Mayhew-Mount Pleasant Cemetery Thamesville.
