Born in Chatham, beloved son of Simone (Bertram) Wood and the late Floyd Wood of Chatham. Jim retired from Union Gas in 2010, and was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Wabash. Loving husband and father of Louise (Northcott) Wood, and Shawn Wood (Rachael Smith) of Wallaceburg. Dear brother of Larry Wood (Lois) of Chatham, Ed Wood (Brenda) of Erieau. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Abbie Northcott of Chatham; sisters-in-law Trish Mailloux (Tim) of Strathroy, Dawn Hopkins (Rick) of Goderich. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his father-in-law Don Northcott. The Wood family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00am with Elder Nancy Melnyk and Priest Paula Tite of the Community of Christ officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to World Accord or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
