Matthews: Joan, formerly of Bothwell, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Copper Terrace, Chatham on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the age of 82. Born in York Twp., daughter of the late Charles and Lila Matthews. Loving mother of Cheryl Newton (Clyde) of R.R.# 3 Bothwell, Clayton Matthews of Texas, and Cameron Matthews of London. At Joan’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. If desired donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
