Obituary of John Cunningham

Cunningham Sr., John James of Kent Bridge, passed away Friday October 7, 2011 at the age of 78. John was born in Findlay, Ohio son of the late Marion and Ethel (Linderman) Cunningham. John was the much loved husband of 50 years to Ann (nee Langford). He will be sadly missed by his children, Jay (Lezlie), Lynn (Steven Mills) and David. He was the proud grandfather to Jamie and Kelsey Cunningham of Kent Bridge, Jacob and Spencer Mills and Julia, Grant and Charlotte Cunningham all of Richmond, Va. John is survived by his brother Robert Cunningham of Baldwin, MI. and predeceased by his sister Margie Cunningham of Benton Harbor MI. John was a longtime farmer in Kent Bridge, a founding member of the Ontario Corn Producers Association and a past board and executive member of the Ontario Soybean Growers Marketing Board. He was also involved with Crop Insurance as an Adjuster and with the Kent Federation of Agriculture. John was a lifelong outdoorsman including fishing and hunting, enjoying family deer hunting trips annually. John was an avid golfer and loved the fact that he could golf 12 months of the year splitting his time between Ridgetown Golf and Country Club and Water Oak Golf Course in Lady Lake FL. The Cunningham family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment in Arnold Cemetery, Louisville.
