Hewitt, John “Arkey” a resident of Chatham and formerly of Teeswater passed away quietly Tuesday, April 26, 2011at Riverview Gardens, Chatham at the age of 86. He was born in Buffalo, New York son of the late Robert and Margaret (Diemert) Hewitt. He is survived by his daughters Jodie and David Browning of Dresden, Kandie and Alfred Magorka of Strathroy; son John Collison and Christine Boulley of Dresden; grandchildren: Diane Magorka (Carlo Cresta), Brandon Magorka, Jordan Browning (Tiff Bernard), Jessica Browning (Shawn Moor), Alix and Cameron Collison, Ethan and Drew Boulley; great grandchildren: Peyton, Ava and Harper and brothers Chuck Hewitt, Don Hewitt and Bill Hewitt. He is predeceased by brothers and sisters: Bob Hewitt, Brad Hewitt, Kenny Hewitt, Jean Sherk, Geraldine Buzzanca, Kathleen Slawik, Gert Bugman and Irene Settler. The Hewitt family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North Street, Dresden on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
