Barnes: Laura Darling (McCorkindale), a resident of Bothwell, passed away at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the age of 80. Born in Enniskillen Twp., daughter of the late Jack and Ila (Melton) McCorkindale. Beloved wife of the late Tom Barnes (2010). Loving mother of Jim & Kelly Barnes of Mooretown, John & Nanette Barnes of Shetland, Lonnie & Donna Barnes of Oil Springs, Joseph & Sandi Barnes of Courtright. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jodi Canale (Steve), Sara Orris (Duane), Jessica, Kate, Megan,Sophie, Ben, Alicia, Kristin, and Scott Barnes, and great-grandchildren Craig, Caitlyn Canale, Ellie, Mason, and Logan Orris. Dear sister of Kay McDonald, Patricia McLachlin, Ila Sawyers and Norris McCorkindale. Predeceased by sisters Isabelle, Marlene, June and brothers John, Allan, Lorne, Christopher, Michael, and Archie. The Barnes family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11am. A Graveside service will be held at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia at 2:45pm. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society or Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Newbury.
