 January 5, 1927 - March 22, 2013 Vanheule: Leon Edward  a resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Thamesville passed away Friday March 22, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Kasskerke Belgium, son of the late Emile Vanheule and Maria Dobbelaere. Caring husband of the late Godelieve Masschelein. Loving father of Emiel ( Linda), Mary Rose (Mauro), Roseanne (Paul), Patrick (Jacqueline), Steven (Kimberley), Mark (Robin). Grandfather of Chistopher (Cora), Rene’ (Tara), Michael, Gregory, Phillip, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Heidi, Rachel, Laura, John, Mary, Luke, Gabriel, Jane, Kyla and Eden. Great grandfather of Betty-Marie, Isabelle and Warren. Dear brother of Marguerite Mostrey of Belgium and brother in law  Emile and Irene Masschelein of Parkhill, Joe and Diane Masschelein of Parkhill. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by a grandson David Vanheule, a sister Alice and her husband Andre’ Janssen,brother-in-law Andre Mostray, brother in law Robert and his wife Thelma Masschelein, sister in law Rachel and her husband Joe Kennes.  The Vanheule family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be held at 3:30pm on Sunday afternoon. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Thamesville on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11:00am. Cremation with Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Alzheimers Society or Right to Life Kent.
