Jordan – Churcott: Mary (nee Steele), a resident of Tupperville, passed away at the Chatham -Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, August 27, 2011 in her 92nd year. Born in Camden Twp., daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Northcott) Steele. Mary was a member of the Tupperville United Church and life member of the U.C.W., and was an active member of the former Tupperville Rebekah Lodge. Predeceased by her husband’s Argyle Churcott (1964) and Jack Jordan (1996). Beloved mother of Diane Elliott of Tupperville, Norma Mouritsen (Wes) of Chatham, and son-in-law Roger Dupelle of Tupperville. Dear step-mother of John Jordan (Barbara) of Raleigh Twp., George Jordan (Sharon) of Chatham. Loving grandmother of Richard, Kim, William, Kerry, Mark, Jodie, Rodney, Lisa, Elizabeth, Heather, Tricia, and Amanda and step-grandmother of Leigh-Anne, Sean, Scott, Amanda, Lisa, and Jeffery. She will be missed by her 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Clayton Steele (Gwen) of Chatham. Sadly missed by her friend and companion Mervel Booth of Dresden. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Nancy Dupelle, sons-in-law Ray Elliott and Neil Hetherington, brothers and sisters-in-law Russell and Mildred Steele, Carson Steele, John and Lois Steele, and Pat Steele. Friends and family will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1:30pm with Rev. Cathy Larmond of the Tupperville United Church officiating. Interment Dresden Cemetery.
