Obituary of Arend Pieterman

Pieterman: Arend "Art" a resident of Chatham, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Copper Terrace, Chatham at the age of 89. Born in Uithurzermeeden, The Netherlands, son of the late Jacob and Neeltje (Laninga) Pieterman. Art was the Town Foreman of Thamesville for 27 years. Beloved husband of the late Grace (Wildeboer) Pieterman (2008). Loving father of Jack & Rennie Pieterman of London, Ena & Joe Boersema of Welland, Nell & Dale Thomas of Thamesville, Alice & Dale Ewing of Dexter, Michigan, Marian & Sam Okkema of Arthur and Dick & Annette Pieterman of Chatham. Sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters. The Pieterman family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, McNaughton Ave. E., Chatham on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Van Hal officiating. Interment in Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed School.
