Obituary of Audrey Stinson

  Sadly the family of Audrey Ilene Stinson of Rutherford announces her passing away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Park Street Place Retirement Residence, Dresden at the age 90. Born July 5, 1923 in Dawn Township, Audrey was the daughter of the late Harold and Ivah (Wees) Skinner and was predeceased by her beloved husband Gordon (2009) and her daughter Judy (1989). Loving mother to Linda and her husband Jerry Burns, Joan and her husband Dr. Robert Houston and Robert and his wife Jayne Stinson. Cherished grandmother to Karrie, Chuck, Darren, Brent, Steven, Michael, Christy, Rob, Angela, Lee, Tyler, Joanne and Craig. Great Grandmother to 15. Dear sister of Marie (Gary) O’Flynn, Noreen (Dwight) Wesenger, Grace Fitzgerald and Jim (Judy) Skinner. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Betty Skinner, Doris Skinner, Geraldine Kendel, Alice Corbett and brother-in-law Gordon Lewis. Fondly remembered by John and Carol McKinley and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters Doris, Helen, June, Geraldine, Sharon and brothers Victor, Grant and Eugene. Audrey was a member of Dresden I.O.D.E. and Rutherford United Church, where she was organist for several years. She owned and operated Audrey’s Fashions in Dresden, where she took great passion in serving her customers. Audrey is resting at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 12 noon with Rev.
