Obituary of Frances Konecny

Konecny: Frances (Lekavy) formerly of Dresden, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the age of 80. Born in Wadena, Sask., daughter of the late Matous and Hattie Lekavy. Frances was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Dresden and the C.W.L. She was a member of the Dresden Horticultural Society and served her community by delivering the mail and driving school bus for many years. Loving mother of Geraldine "Geri" Saunders (Paul) of Chatham, Martin Konecny (Stephanie) of R.R. 6 Dresden, James Konecny (Maryellen) of Dresden. Loving grandmother of Paige, Brandon, Brady, Katrina, and Marty. Dear sister of Lillian Antos (John) of Flushing, Michigan. Also survived by her former husband James V. Konecny. The Konecny family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:00am with Fr. Andy Dwyer officiating. Prayers will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30pm. Interment of cremains in Dresden Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
