Griggs, Violet LaVerna (McCracken) a resident of Dresden passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg at the age of 93. She was born in Blenheim daughter of the late James and Annie (Sterling) McCracken. Beloved wife of the late Charles Griggs (1964). Loving mother of Alvin & MaryJane Griggs, Lennard & Denise Griggs, Paul & Joy Griggs, Lily Griggs, Margaret Turner, Rita Brown, Edna & Kim Reid, Moneta & Richard Ross and Veronica Griggs. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The Griggs family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North Street, Dresden on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Collins-Wongkee officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.
