McGuire: William “Bill”, a resident of R.R.# 2 Oil Springs, passed away at the Bluewater Health C.E.E. Site, Petrolia on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the age of 85. Born in Dawn Twp., son of the late George and Barbara (Zavitz) McGuire. Beloved husband of Laura (Butler) McGuire. Loving father of Bob MGuire (Nancy) of Bothwell, Ross McGuire (Janice) of Croton, Peter McGuire (Cheryl) of Oil Springs, Doug McGuire of Croton, Tim McGuire of Oil Springs. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Ian, Jordan, Michael, Melissa, Nicole Font (Shawn), Lindsey Peters (Josh), and great-grandchildren Jack and Grace Font. Dear brother of Helen McAlpine (Evan), Doris Shaw, Hazel Leatherdale, Vivian Thomas, Elaine Ito (John), George McGuire (Joan), Don McGuire (Lorraine), Bruce McGuire, Larry McGuire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two infant daughters, a daughter-in-law Myrna McGuire (2006), brothers-in-law Bob Shaw, Tom Thomas, Ross Leatherdale; sisters-in-law Leone McGuire, Thelma McGuire, Willie McGuire and Jean McGuire. The McGuire family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 1pm. Interment Oil Springs Cemetery.
