To All of Melba's Family; Though we were 2nd and 3rd cousins my mother Ruth Duffie (nee Macklem) and I never got the opportunity to meet and know Melba the way all of you do. What we did have and will cherish, was two years of contact via phone, email, etc and a few phone calls after that. She was an amazing historian of the area and family, but more than that she a vivacious, kind, feisty person, who had a mind like a sponge (always learning) with a generous soul and loving heart. We have and will continue to miss those conversations in regards ancestry, family relations, sports, going to casino night, meals at Tim Hortons, cards, and her praise and love of Robert and Ann's work and travels as well as her grandchildren (especially James, as he was visiting a couple of times when we called and/or helping her get her computer up and running. We would be remiss if we didn't say thank you to Helen and her husband who kept us informed as much as possible in regards to Melba and to Ann who responded to an email when Melba still had the computer. You will be missed, but always remembered with a smile and a laugh! Melba may you rest in the Hands of the Lord and may he be with all your family. Barbara O'Block (nee Duffie) and Ruth Duffie (nee Macklem)

To all the Simpson family and all dear friends we have lost a special Lady. Playing ball in Tupperville would have never been the same without getting to go to the pool hall afterward for a cold pop and a chocolate bar out of the cooler and of course discussing the game with Melba and Kingsley! This lady was a friend to all and dressed with great style never being seen without all the matching accessories. Her visits at the Oaks will be greatly missed but I will remember that smile and hold my memories of her for a life time

If Tupperville had a mayor it would've been Melba Simpson! I too remember going to the pool hall for a pop after playing baseball. Always enjoyed running into Melba at the Oaks and appreciated her sharp as a tack mind and memory. She will be missed!

We too thought Melba would live forever! We will miss that smiling face for sure! We certainly appreciated her history book of the Tupperville area, especially the picture of the Lindsay Tile Yard, where we live! God has another angel to watch over us.

My heart is broken. I thought (and wanted) my dear friend Melba to live forever. I have such fond memories of her. After buying our little farm, I learned that the Simpsons were very connected to it, and Kingsley and Melba soon became good friends. We learned a lot about the history of our home, which had been King's grandparents. Although we were "transplants" to the Tupperville area, they treated us like family. I will genuinely miss this beautiful lady. I always enjoyed seeing her at the Oaks when I visited there.
RIP Melba. I know that you and Kinglsey are dancing up a heavenly storm right now.
With love, Dawne and Ron Mudford.

I grew up on the other side of the tracks from the Simpsons. They were always kind to everyone and always had a smile. When I went away to school in Toronto in 1990 Melba gave me a musical cardinal because when we looked out our kitchen window we would see the birds in their back yard. It was to remember her and my. Roots. I was speaking to a childhood friend a few weeks ago about Melba and wondered how she was. Thoughts and prayers to the family. I know Tupperville Residents from the past have MANY beautiful memories of Melba and King.
