Obituary of Ralph Highgate

Highgate: George Ralph, a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the age of 83. Born in Dresden, son of the late Stanley and Corrine (Carter) Highgate. Beloved husband of 60 years to Darlene (Sims) Highgate. Loving father of Lee Highgate (Sandra) of Dresden, Darlene (Lynn) Handsor (Tony) of Chatham and Lisa Highgate-Friday (Carl) of London. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Danielle (Ryan), Brandon (Jasmin), Katherine, Alex, and great-grandchildren Tacoma, Chase, Ellie, Antonio, Liam, and Marcus. Dear brother of John Highgate (Louise), Sara Sims (Late Frank),Sherman Highgate (Elaine). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those hoping to attend the visitation service must schedule a time by registering online at https://signup.com/go/FuKtDgj or by calling the funeral home at 519-683-4444. No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask. The Highgate family will receive friends and family at the Badder Funeral Home & reception Centre, 679 North St. Dresden on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Private Family Service will be held at Union Baptist Church. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
