We are so sad to hear this. Cindy thank you for the time you gave us at the cottage, at the lodge, and our restaurant meals out. Collecting pine cones and clippings for Christmas urns at the farm. Our shared emails. You were the one to take me on my first ferry ride to the states. I'm sorry we didn't get to spend more time together as the time we did was always fun. My Aunt Cindy was a precious influence to me growing up. I loved leaving the city to stay for a weekend “down home.” She taught me how to do laundry, how to sew and how to bake the most decadent desserts.
More importantly she taught me the value of perseverance when working hard towards a goal. But most of all she taught me how to make family feel so loved by frequently hosting events at the cottage that were filled with laughter and amazing adventures together.
I will miss her dearly. And like many others, I will never forget her great laugh and beautiful smile.

Carlyle, Jeff, Mandy, Jenny and families, I am so very sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. I have so many great memories of time spent with her, and you, in years past. She was such a hard worker, yet always had 'room for more' at the table, whether at home or at the cottage. She always made you feel welcome, she always made time for you.....she cared. As a young woman, I learned a lot from Cindy....mostly about what being a good Mom is. Treasure your memories of her, I know I will. Heaven has indeed gained a wonderful angel.

Cindy was one of my earliest childhood friends. I remember many happy times when the Broad family would come over to our house and we would do a reciprocal visit to the Bothwell Broad homestead. At Dresden Area Composite School, she was a grade behind me but it was always fun to see her smiling face in the hallway and to stop & chat with her.
After post-secondary education and marriages, we then saw each other when she invited us over to her recently purchased cottage in Port Franks. My family ended up renting the cottage beside the Cross for one for one-two weeks each summer for over 30 years. It was great to see Jeff, Mandy and Jennifer develop into awesome adults! Cindy was a whirlwind of energy and she would fly into the cottage, visit with us and seemed so interested in everyone and everything in our lives.
Cindy was always enthusiastic, hard-working and had a zest for life!! She will be missed!!!
My condolences to Carlyle, Jeff, Mandy, Jennifer, the grandchildren and all other family relations and friends.
May God bless you and provide you with hope and peace!!

Uncle Carlyle, Jeff & Debbie, Mandy & Rob, Jennifer and all the grandkids: so sorry to hear this sad news. Aunt Cindy was an unforgettable person and always made sure that everyone had what they needed. As a kid I remember her always being busy whether it was at the farm or at the lake. She can now take a rest, but probably won't knowing her! While the pain of losing a wife, mother and grandmother is present for you all, know that she is no longer in pain and will be able to watch over and protect you all.
