Dear Bill, Shirley and Luanne & Family
We are so sorry to hear of passing of Mom Marion. Bruce was relaying a story of how one day he had been there swathing hay and he was headed out the lane. Marion came running out the back door and said he must stop in for some supper. He told her he had a couple more fields he needed to get done that day. She said to wait on moment and she came back with an apple, a WONDERFULLY cooked pork chop in a paper towel and a drink of water. He thought that was so very kind of her. I will always remember one day we had gathered at Jean & Morgan, because the pears and early apples were ready. Some of us young ones were up the tree picking and others were pealing. She and Jean were debating mixing pears & apples togather in a pie or crisp! LOL Two strong options were expressed. Great memories I hope will help heal your loss. Bill, LuAnn, and families, my heart is with all of you as you remember and honor Marian. I have so many memories of coming to Canada to visit the family and farm with my great grandma, your beloved Aunt Mary. Some of my favorite memories are Marian’s cooking!!! Boy, she could really cook and organize a ‘supper’! She was always so chatty and a lovely person. I know one of her favorite memories was the year I was there for the haying! She reminded me of that every time I spoke with her. Also the year we processed a chicken and I got to take it home. She loved teaching this city girl about her country life. I will miss her and our talks but she has moved on to where she is most needed now with Floyd and Justin. She missed them so. My love and hugs to you all!!! Cindy

Marion was a fantastic neighbor. Her care and concern for others meant that she took the time daily to check on the well-being of our mother, Stella Stevens. Mother looked forward to having that daily visit. Marion’s time and effort in looking out for her well-being was appreciated by all of the Stevens family.
