Sproule: Garry, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens, Chatham with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the age of 83. Garry was a butcher at the Thamesville Red & White for many years, was a Thamesville councilman and retired from Eaton Yale in Chatham. Garry was passionate about horse racing, hockey, baseball, fishing, shuffleboard, music, dancing and golf. He really loved his annual trips to Melbourne, Florida and spending time with his snowbird friends. Family came first to Garry, who was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was always spotted in the stands at many sporting events cheering his family on to achieve their best. Born in Toronto, beloved son of Gladys Sproule (late Mike) of Thamesville. Devoted wife Karen Sproule for just shy of 60 years (January 13th, 1962), loving father of Scott and Patty Sproule of Thamesville, Kim and Brent Daugherty of Dresden. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jillian Cook (Justin), Janelle Sproule (Kevin), Brett Sproule (Brynn), Drake Daugherty (Kelsea). Dear brother of Janet and Antonio "Tony" Vallecoccia of Milton, Doug and Beth Sproule of Stratford, Jim and Valerie Sproule of Surrey B.C., predeceased by Hugh and Jackie Naldrett. Cherished nephew of Edith Manning (late Carl) of Mitchell's Bay, predeceased by Lillian and Jeff Miller (Carl Johnston) and Vera and Roy Seymour. Garry will also be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. At the family's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service, cremation has taken place. Interment of Cremains in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Gardens, especially those on the fourth floor, for the exceptional care over the years.
