Walters: Ethel (Bedford)  formerly of Bothwell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022  at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown at the age of 94. Born in Zone Township, daughter of the late Ernest and Sophia (Allison) Bedford. Ethel grew up on a farm near Thamesville on Baseline Road across from Tecumseh's Monument.  She was the youngest of 4 children. Even though she left the farm many years ago she told us just recently that her back was still sore from milking cows.  She attended Normal School in London and graduated with her teaching degree.  Ethel and Ron were married in 1947 and moved to Bothwell in 1951.Together they raised 2 sons and the family grew from there.  Ethel taught for 28 years with the Kent County School Board and remembered each of her students she taught over the years. She retired in 1987 when Ron sold Lotan Electric and they enjoyed winters in Florida and summers golfing at Wardsville Golf Course where they were 50 year members. Ethel enjoyed singing with the choir at Bothwell United Church, taught Sunday School and was a member of the UCW for many years. Ethel and Ron square danced, travelled, played cards, golfed and socialized with friends and family.  A full life well lived.... Beloved wife of the Late Ron Walters (2013). Loving mother of Doug Walters (Penny), Ed Walters(Patty). Loving grandmother and great-grandmother of David Walters (Viviane 2020); Wendy Magee (Rob); Mark Walters; Megan Flynn (Tristan); Adam Walters (Colette); Mandy Curran (Matt); Christopher Walters (Rachel); Jared Walters (Audrie),  Preston, Kayleigh, Ivan, Ruby, Lavis, Brady, Payton and Waylon.
