Obituary of Pat Vanrabaeys
Vanrabaeys: Patricia (Barron), a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham with family by her side on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 93. Born in Chatham Twp., daughter of the late Osmon and Florence (Thibeault) Barron. Patricia's life revolved around her family and Thames Sales Yard. She was well known for her amazing meals, her love for her grandchildren, and the support she provided to her community. She loved baking, reading, word searches, and Facebook. Patricia was dedicated to her Christian faith and was a CWL member for over 60 years. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care provided by March of Dimes Canada and Dr. Lindsay Sutherland which allowed her to remain healthy and happy in her home. It is with peace knowing she is now in heaven back with her true love, Edgar. Beloved wife of the late Edgar V. Vanrabaeys (1997). Loving mother of Ron and Bonnie Vanrabaeys, Brian and Diane Vanrabaeys, Tom and Laurie Vanrabaeys, Joanne and Rick Patterson, Gail and Jeff Denys. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Chad (Nikki), Ben (Melissa), Alison (Mark), Krista (Jason), Katie (Norm), Grant (Alyssa), Andrea (Nik), Alex, Jeff (Heather), Nicole (Darren), Tara, Jared, Janelle (Dave), Garth, Shaelyn, Dylan and 16 great –grandchildren. Dear sister of James Barron (Monica), Austin Barron (Michelle). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Shirley Huckle (Roy), and a brother William Barron (Doris). The Vanrabaeys family will receive family and friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Tuesday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Thamesville. There will be overflow seating at the John C. Badder Funeral Home and the funeral mass will be livestreamed there and on the funeral home Facebook page. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, Thamesville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Thamesville Sertoma Club would be appreciated by the family.
