Just the other day I heard the passing of my good friend and all those days and weekends on the fastball field playing with and against Bruce are flooding back to me. Memories I will always have and will be dear to my heart forever.
To Brock and family may peace be with you at this time of great loss.
Rest In Peace Brother.
Eric Knott.

Members and supporters of Friends of Wickers Creek Archeological Site (FOWCAS) in and around Dobbs Ferry, Westchester County, NY, gratefully remember Bruce. He made the 12 hour trip several times to educate, drum, laugh, inspire, helping the group in its not entirely futile attempt to preserve an ancient chieftaincy site by the Hudson River. I remember he came not only with his brothers and others from Moraviantown, but also with two daughters to show them an ancient part of the land of the Lenape. And he once put this writer up at his house. Thank you, Bruce, and peace and blessings to your family.

Brock and Brent,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember Bruce helping coach the Trinity softball squad back in the late 90's and have a few other memories of him as a lively guy seeing him from time to time over the next decade and a half. My parents showed me the article featuring him in the University of Toronto alumni magazine. He sure seemed to be doing great things recently.
Wishing him all the best on his journey.
My sincere condolences,
Graeme

Dear Brock,
Hilary and I were saddened to hear the news of the passing of your brother Bruce. We were only recently perusing the latest edition (Spring 2022) of the University of Toronto magazine and were pleasantly surprised to see Bruce featured in an article about bringing back the Munsee dialect from the brink of extinction. As an an advanced speaker of the Munsee language, he was working in collaboration with U of T researchers to ultimately enable individuals to learn the language from scratch. We were amazed to learn that your brother did not learn Munsee at home from your parents since they did not speak it. Such a bright man! And such big shoes to fill. We hope that someone will take his place to continue the crucial task of restoring indigenous languages to their rightful place in society.
Brock - we are really sorry for your loss. We also extend our condolences to family and friends of Bruce.
Thinking of you,
Richard and Hilary Nunes

The last time we played Lenape Football I really made you laugh at what a goon I was on the field. Leslie and I were the women goons. Travis, your mom, Brock, Curtis Zuniga, all played. It was so much fun. I miss all that. Thanks so much for encouraging me to take part I our culture. That was definitely your gift. Love you cuz and rest in peace.
