Most people in Wardsville 'knew' Scott, if not by name.
He was sort of a fixture. Walking his dog and collecting cans at the side of the road. He was always quiet, easy to smile and had a genuine kindness about him. I was fortunate enough to get to know Scott a little. We had a some conversations and I believe were on our way to becoming friends, I had him to the house for tea and we drove to Chatham once.
I found out about Scott's passing through a friend. I didn't know his last name so had to do some searching to find this site
I am so sorry for your loss.
I am deeply saddened and wished I had had more time to know him. The little I knew him I saw a great kindness and a quiet intelligence. Rest in peace my friend.
Dave Walker, Wardsville
