My deepest condolences to Carl, Bonnie and family. When I built the house in Dresden, Shirley was there to help me make it a home. She looked after us in so many ways and truly appreciated her support and help. I remember that I had to put the cat in the basement before she came in as she was afraid of it (he was a bit of a crazy feline). She really was one of the best. Take care.

I too worked with Shirley in the ER dept at SDH. When Shirley became supervisor, she always had your back during the evening shift…totally reassuring. We often talked about our training at Sarnia General and of course our AFib. Shirley was a real gem!

My sincerest condolences to Carl and Bonnie and their families on the loss of Shirley. She was one of a kind with such a big heart and never utter a harsh word and always comforting others around her. Shirley was the first person I met when we moved into Mitchell’s Bay Park and she took me under her wing, showing us the ropes. I loved the morning coffee gatherings with Shirley and Vickie and the laughs as we waited for our hubbies to come back from fishing. I will miss Shirley’s phone calls checking in on me. RIP dear friend!

Awe Our Dear Shirley,
We will miss You so much! You were truly such a beautiful friend to Us. To Carl, Bon & Bob our thoughts and prayers are with you. Carl & Shirley were the best neighbors you could ever ask for at the trailer. As soon as we moved in they took us under their wings and we’ve been friends ever since. Very Special People. When they left the park, we continued our friendship meeting for lunches and dinners often. Shirley, we will miss your Saturday morning phone chats, but we will continue on with Carl now. Awwww Shirley, what a wonderful girl and nurse to boot. I worked night shifts in the office in the early eighties and when Shirley was working she often would come down to the office on her break in the middle of the night and spend some time with whoever was working at the time. All these years later when we would meet we stopped to talk for a minute or two. I'm very sure her family and friends will miss her in many ways. Rest in peace Shirley.
